Doorway to Your Future is proposed as a manifesto for a new vision of design, the concretisation of which will take place through a series of meetings throughout the year at the FERREROLEGNO BRERA Archispace.
A NEW VISION OF DESIGN THROUGH A SERIES OF TALKS AT FERREROLEGNO BRERA ARCHISPACE
On Wednesday 24 May, the second Doorway to Your Future event was held with a preview of Earthrise 23, the annual festival of the Circolo del Design dedicated to design and environmental sustainability curated by Elisabetta Donati de Conti and Giorgio Vacchiano and of which FerreroLegno is an official sponsor. During the evening there was a presentation of Constituent Fragments of the Unfathomable Cosmos, a live performance by Sara Berts, composer and sound artist.

Sara Berts’ creative process stems from an ongoing conversation with natural ecosystems. In the live performance, soft melodies emerge from a continuum generated by field recordings and intertwine with voice and effects, creating a meeting ground between two dimensions of reality, the visible world and its allusive vitality to another order.

Composer and sound artist based in Turin. She has been studying traditional Asháninka medicine in Mayantuyacu since 2017. Her work embraces the sphere of the non-human to reflect on the relationship between sound and healing, layering synth voices with elaborate field recordings.

THE SILENT LESSON OF THE TREES
A wonderful journey to discover the ways in which trees know how to adapt to climate change, how they know how to solve the problem of water shortage, how they know how to return and be reborn after a fire and even how they know how to move hundreds of kilometres.
